Do not forget: Palestinians have been under bombardment for 11 months. 40,000 of them have been killed by bombs like these. Whatever you hear from Western media today about this horrible development in Tel Aviv, ask yourself, why did you not hear it about Palestinians?

Over the past year calls for de-escalation & warnings of regional war were ignored. Governments, like the UK & US, enabled Israel to act with impunity so it can “reshape the region”. All measures, including a full arms embargo, need to be pursued to de-escalate & protect lives.

Marie Curie was the first woman to win the Nobel Prize. This didn't happen because she herself fought for it -- although she did fight hard the whole way to even get to that point. 👩‍🔬 What happened was that the award was offered to her husband, Pierre. (1/n) 🧵

🧵 This week - under a Labour government - NHS community services for the entire population of Wilshire (half a million people), were handed to a private equity backed company, HCRG Care Group, formerly known as VirginCare. 1/n

This chart is a scandal. Teachers, doctors and others earning fairly ordinary salaries can face marginal tax rates of more than 60%, and sometimes approaching 80%. Rachel Reeves should reform income tax. Thread:

"Ah, mas muitas empresas vão quebrar sem escala 6x1" Se uma empresa só é rentável porque explora demais seus trabalhadores, a sociedade não precisa dela. Feche o negócio e vá ser trabalhador também. E aproveite seu novo direito à jornada 5x2.

ERIKA HILTON (@erikakhilton) 's Twitter Profile Photo

TODO

There are so many times that I see American people, some on the left, some hardcore communists & anarchists and yes, VoteBlue libs too, post the most asinine, self-indulgent bs ever and I can’t help but roll my eyes. The exceptionalism is so so deeply ingrained.

Pra todo mundo que já cometeu um erro na vida, eu digo: fique em paz. Porque não importa quantos erros sejam, sempre existe alguém que errou mais. E esse alguém no caso é o editorialista do Estadão.

Hi TfL. I would like to complain about the 232 bus (the online form is not working). Service on this line needs to be urgently reviewed and vehicles added. Wait times are supposed to be 10-14min but can often be over 25min. And the buses are always absolutely packed.

The Prime Minister imitating Enoch Powell’s ‘Rivers of Blood’ speech is sickening. That speech fuelled decades of racism and division. Echoing it today is a disgrace. It adds to anti-migrant rhetoric that puts lives at risk. Shame on you, Keir Starmer.

Dr Rachel Clarke (@doctor_oxford) 's Twitter Profile Photo

1 in 5 of the UK’s care workforce have a non-British passport. Starmer would have us believe these carers are the “squalid” result of a “failed experiment”. I say they do vital, necessary, humane, skilled work and they are worth their weight in gold.
