Nancy Adams was born this month in 1926, studying Wgtn Girls' College and Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. She join DSIR Botany Division Science New Zealand and as asst curator Te Papa. She won awards for "Seaweeds of New Zealand: An Illustrated Guide" and illustrated for other NZ botanists like Ella Orr Campbell.
