The European Union has formally summoned the Russian envoy in Brussels in response to the Russian strike that severely damaged the bloc's delegation in Kyiv.

Belgium becomes latest country vowing to recognise Palestine next week, joining the likes of Australia, France, Canada and the UK.

52% of EU citizens are in favour of Ukraine's accession, while 41% are opposed, according to a special Eurobarometer on enlargement. Support is highest in Nordic countries and opposition is strongest in Hungary and the Czech Republic.
