Congratulations! The Red Arrows have successfully completed their annual assessment, known as Public Display Authority (PDA). 2022 will be the busiest season in four years, with more than 65 displays across the UK and beyond. Well done to all involved! 🔴⚪️🔵

Goodbye #Greece! Departure day for the #RedArrows from our pre-season training venue. It’s the first flight in red and blue coveralls for the 2022 pilots and engineers respectively. Thank you to the Hellenic Air Force, Greek authorities and local community for hosting us so well.

Welcome Home! Ten Red Arrows returned home today (one Hawk aircraft returned earlier this week) after completing pre-season training and carrying out the team’s first display of 2022 in #France. I may have a welcome home present for them… 😉

New arrival! Whilst the Red Arrows were overseas, we’ve painted an ex 100 Sqn Hawk & rebuilt it ahead of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Flypast. The first arrival of 3 as we grow the fleet to 17. XX202 doesn’t smoke 🔴⚪️🔵 but will be used in the interim whilst we covert others.

Big day tomorrow! Red Arrows tucked up ahead of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Flypast. Tonight is no different to any other with the technicians, known as the Blues, carrying maintenance to ensure the Hawk’s are fit for purpose. Who else is excited to see the smoke? 🔴⚪️🔵

They’ll be up to 70 aircraft participating in the #QueensJubilee Flypast. Eyes to the sky today at 13:00!

Inside the hangar at #RAF Scampton, #Lincolnshire this morning - the #RedArrows jets being prepared to be towed out, ready for a very big day. Over #London at 1300 for the #PlatinumJubilee flypast and then Midlands Air Festival for our first UK display of 2022, at 1730 this evening.

We have been notified of a technical issue which may affect the safe operation of our ejector seats in Typhoon and Red Arrows aircraft. We have paused non-essential flying as a temporary safety precaution until the situation is better understood.

Yesterday was a busy day but always worth it. Red Arrows now cleared for flight. 🔧
