The best part of doing a podcast episode recently was being able to briefly talk about a large number of items on my “essays I want to write but can’t find time for” list.

(Aside: Web development + science is probably the most underrated skill intersection I'm aware of.)

As an academic or practitioner, I found that the best way to properly learn the algorithm was to code the damn thing. I used the same technique to pass a Data Structures Ph.D. qualifying exam and to perform well in ML interviews. Coding amplifies understanding. Learn to code.
