Our time in Argentina has come to an end. For now! We spent time in Buenos Aires before heading out. Ran into the main #INTA office, checked out some sites, and watched a tango show! It was a great trip! I learned a ton about international agriculture and met some new colleagues!

At the Larson Allmaras Lecture today for the Soil, Water, & Climate department. Our speaker, Kevin Keuhner, is talking about nitrate in groundwater. He shared a cool picture showing shallow soils over fractured limestone and how it shows up in a field! This was from southeastern MN.

Got to the field today to visit some research plots! First is a #manure timing study - early or late fall application or spring application of liquid dairy or beef bedded pack versus spring fertilizer. We placed nutrient cation and ion probes in the soil to monitor nutrients.
