Can we please have native JSON5 or at least JSON-C support in all JS engines? That would be really helpful … Why don't we have that in 2025?

"Rapidly build modern websites without ever leaving your HTML" – why should I not want to leave my HTML? I'm leaving my HTML when I work with SVG. I'm leaving my HTML when I do server side JS. Why is "not leaving my HTML" a goal that I would ever want to achieve?

I am probably late to the game but I built a web app using React Server Components yesterday and it's absolutely wonderful. Feels super natural if you've been working with React for 10 years (🤯) and it's really a lot of fun. I'm impressed 🙂

So this is a rare occasion: I'm on the market and available for new freelance projects for the first time since 2021! Strong focus on React and TypeScript. React Native, Next.js, Node, you name it. Remote (occasional office visits in Berlin/Germany are fine). More infos via DM!

🚀 Expo SDK 54 includes a huge leap towards bringing modern UI primitives into React Native. Today Expo UI brings SwiftUI and Jetpack Compose to React Native, letting you mix modern UI primitives and React in one app. Take a look at the blog below from Kudo,

Over 10 years ago, we open-sourced React. And now, we’re excited to announce the next chapter: React & React Native are transitioning to the React Foundation under the Linux Foundation. Meta is committing $3M+ and a 5-year partnership to support this next chapter of innovation.

Next 16 uses a new .next/dev subdirectory so that you can run next dev and next build side-by-side without conflicts. This helps when you're running Claude Code, Cursor Agent, or Codex when it wants to run `next build` to verify changes it no longer breaks your development

Fun fact: my co-founder and I are treating ChatGPT as if it were one of our employees (like many people do). We even had him create a fake CV for a guy named "Chad G. P. Thompson". Makes it a bit less awkward to say "Ask Chad" instead of "Ask ChatGPT".
