Our residents on Chester’s have come together to paint some stunning seaside Pictures to go on the wall, from vivid sunsets to playful waves, every brushstroketells a story 💜

Aye up, it’s #yorkshireday2024 This morning we have enjoyed colouring some Yorkshire flags, which we then laminated and added sticks to so we could give them a wave this afternoon when we continue our Yorkshire themed celebrations with Ukulele Henry. 💙💙💙

Our tomatoes are coming along nicely! Earlier this year we had several deliveries from #potgang, which included instructions and everything we needed to plant and nurture our own vegetables & herbs. Our residents love tending to our garden and seeing it grow! 🍅🍅🍅 Pot Gang

Hot dawg! 🌭🌭🌭 Despite the weather Bailey and Patsy still made their visit to us at The Manor House. Supplied with plenty of refreshing apple slices, carrot and water to keep hydrated, Bailey visited everyone who wanted a cuddle and pat. Therapy Dogs

Our favourite picture of the day 💜🦮 Bryan always invites Bailey to sit in his bed,Bailey never says no! It’s always lovely to see how Bailey changes his behaviour dependent on who he is with. He knows which residents want quiet Bailey and which residents like bouncy Bailey.

Today we were honoured to be invited to the graduation parade at the Army Foundation Collage in Harrogate. As an official Veteran Friendly care home, it was an honour to be invited to celebrate the hard work of the junior soilders and their sergeants and all other staff.

Our monthly trip to Knaresborough Library, where the staff always have a fun and different craft idea to try. This week we were painting fans. We had acrylic paints to paint on the white paper fans,the folds made natural borders so our residents found it simple and fun. 💜🥰

We love these pictures that have ready made watercolour paint on them. Some of our residents like Wendy love painting, but can often feel upset when they get paint on their hands. These pictures are mess free and make the experience more enjoyable for everyone. Arts for Dementia

Today is international Cat day! This morning we made Baker Ross cats for our rooms. The beads for the legs were quite tricky,but our residents persevered & the outcome was so cute! This afternoon it’s a big screen movie with ice cream, can you guess what we will be watching?🐱

Another day on the canal for our residents at The Manor House! We enjoyed a full day of sailing, singalongs, picnics and scenery. This was such an amazing day for our residents who loved every minute of it 💜💜💜

Thank you so much to everyone who made it to Tiny Tots and Teacups this morning. As it was school holidays we had some older children too, and Audrey said it made her so happy like when she sees her grandchildren. The Intergenerational mornings make our hearts so happy 🥰

What beautiful flowers made by our residents this afternoon. They even made extras so residents who didn’t join us could have some in their rooms. We love flower arranging as it’s an easy but fun sensory activity. And who doesn’t love fresh flowers on their windowsill!

We’ve had Intergenerational therapy, we’ve had sensory therapy, let’s throw some pet therapy into our day too! Thank you to Patsy and Bailey for their visit this afternoon. It’s been a busy day at The Manor House, and we wouldn’t have it any other way! 💜🦮 Therapy Dogs
