Successful second flood tonight.

One of the rink crew is an early riser, and got an unprecedented crack of dawn flood.

Team is headed out to clean and flood. We plan to get as many coats on this week as possible before the warm temps at the end of the week.

Still closed for skating, but with colder temperatures we started flooding again tonight. Working to get great ice for the winter carnival this weekend.

As temperatures start to dip, we’re going to try an unprecedented *triple* flood before tomorrow’s winter carnival. Please stay off the ice tonight.

Carnival day seemed popular, and the rink got lots of use. We’re not thrilled with the ice conditions, but we laid down another flood tonight.

Plus 3 degrees and sunny again today?

The struggle is real.

8 floods in - we should be ready to reopen in the next day or two.

Let’s see, now that we’re back open, what does the rest of the week hold in terms of weather….

I suspect we’ll have to close by mid-day tomorrow and we’ll see what’s left on Friday night.

With the forecast for next week, we’ve decided that this 24 cold spell isn’t enough to get the rink back open this season. We’ll see you next year.
