My walk today…a repeat of 5 mile circular route at Market Drayton with good company. Superb stretch of the #Shropshire union canal where we were very entertained by watching the way boats were negotiating the canal locks.

A late evening walk to avoid the high temperatures. A route along the Catalan / French border between Portbou and Cerbere.

Portbou cemetery near the French border, which contains the Walter Benjamin Memorial, a homage to the German philosopher who died in the town during World War II. A beautiful rest location with stunning views.
