This is a Shepherd's Fritillary from a trip to Austria. They can be spectacular when flying through the mountains in large groups. Not easy to approach when it was sunny and warm and they were very active.

Turf Hotel, #ExminsterMarshes, Devon . Very interesting to watch Mark Vanstone's #Wryneck feeding along a gravel path this afternoon. Super views once again of this enigmatic species 👍.

This is a photo of the white tailed Eagle when it first appeared over Denny island, Chew Valley Lake on Monday, and the closest it showed. I would've loved to have seen it much closer, but an Eagle is an Eagle, and I'm made-up that we saw it.

Sea Milkwort, still an odd plant in flower, though there were hundreds not flowering. Saltmarsh near Wadebridge Cornwall today. Lysimachia maritima
