Reading cohort visit #8 to Mountain View! I enjoyed visiting 4th grade today! Loved the article of the week on a therapy pig named Porkchop and seeing annotating in action! Students were writing the next chapter to a HMH text during centers, such creativity!

Reading cohort visit #9 to Westridge! (Post 1 of 2) I was just blown away in 2nd grade! Main and details and I enjoyed seeing the Harrison Hoffman anchor charts made into posters! AngelaClendenon

Reading cohort visit #10 to Buckland! Loved joining first & second grade small group reading! Students were connecting what they were learning in social studies & using science textbooks to find text features! Such a nice picture glossary! How fun is this bathtub to read in?!

Cohort visit #11 to Coles! Summarizing in third grade and writing about a favorite book they read in first! I would have to agree with this student that Chicken Little is an amazing book! 🐥

Cohort visit #12 to Signal Hill! Loved being joined by our lead mentor Melissa Edwards to visit the new reading specialist as well! Such a nice wintry entrance when you walk in! Enjoyed visiting third grade writing where students chose topics and set goals!

Enjoyed visiting the new reading specialist with Melissa Edwards at Ellis today! Loved hearing about their goals and how the visit went with their mentor to support a goal they have for this year, such amazing goals set for this year and next year! We 💗our reading specialists!

Hope everyone had a productive Code Orange Day! My dog Cleo enjoyed keeping me company during Zoom and Teams meetings! I hope everyone in PWCS has a restful winter break! ❄️

Such a wonderful time in kindergarten today at Ashland, loved seeing centers in action! This tabletop light panel was amazing, students loved it. I received so many hugs today, kinder is so sweet💗😁

Great way to end the week, visiting our new reading specialists at Cedar Point and Bristow Run! We are so grateful for them and are amazed at what they have already accomplished this year taking on a new role! Melissa Edwards
