As the entire #Armenian nation commemorates the #ArmenianGenocide and the #FourDayWar in the month of April, it’s evident that #Azerbaijan and #Turkey use it as an opportunity to promote and celebrate genocide. This is psychological warfare.

The #ArmenianGenocide never ended. For 106 years, its perpetrators have not only escaped accountability - they’ve actively drawn from the same genocidal ideologies to inform their actions today. And they’re proud of it. No more excuses, it’s time to recognize the genocide.

Armenians are trending on LA Twitter. Keep it up. As we approach the 106th anniversary of the #ArmenianGenocide we must continue to remind the world that when we forget our history, we’re doomed to repeat it.

Self-determination was first institutionalized in int’l law by the League of Nations when it supported the formation of an independent Armenia in response to the horrors of the #ArmenianGenocide. Today is a reminder that there is no alternative to Artsakh’s self-determination.

If you are sick of hearing us shout and protest every year about the #ArmenianGenocide , imagine how sick we are of proving our ancestors' deaths. #yesitsgenocide

Denying the #ArmenianGenocide means telling the world that it's okay to attempt to ethnically cleanse an entire population with no consequences.

The historical fact that 3.5 million Armenians, Greeks, Assyrians, and other minority groups were slaughtered by the Ottoman Regime from 1900-1923 is not a politicized tool up for debate. Its inhumane. It is genocide in its most horrendous form. #yesitsgenocide

In her book Inter-Generational Trauma, Justice, and the #ArmenianGenocide, Marian Mesrobian MacCurdy argues that “The Armenians suffered a personal and collective trauma born not only of genocide but of its denial, the silence that followed it, and the resulting lack of justice.”

Turkey failed because I'm here! I will NEVER stop fighting for the rights and justice of my people and will continue to spread the Armenian language and culture to newer generations. #ArmenianGenocide

The Turkish Government Turkish - from the late Ottoman period until this very day - have aimed to kill Armenians, empty Armenia, deface our culture, erase our memory, and - ultimately - replace our presence across our indigenous homeland. #ArmenianGenocide

Great grandchildren of #ArmenianGenocide survivors remember. Not only because of learned history, but also because of intergenerational trauma. Yet, this only encourages the continual fight for recognition and restitution.
