In grade school, I remember singing with my class when at some point our teacher exclaimed, "Oooh, one of you has such a beautiful voice!" For years, I thought it was directed at me. I think every kid felt that way. And, I guess that was the point. Thank you, Mrs. S.

I have to admit.. I’ve been absolutely exhausted with this start to the school year. However, today’s #myPITA2021 was refreshing & re-energizing, and I’m looking forward to bringing my learning back to my classroom. Tysm to MyPITA! 🎉

I never would’ve thought that playdough/kinetic sand would be one of the most popular quiet activity choices with my 6/7s. I think sometimes we forget they’re still children who need opportunities for tactile exploration (even if some of them are almost 6’ tall!) #SelfReg

Today sts worked together to make “situpons.” These will be especially helpful for our outdoor gardening sessions! They’re woven mats made out of newspaper, and covered with a plastic bag to make them waterproof(ish). #Teamwork #ProblemSolving University Highlands Burnaby Schools

Great way to start my day with Tom Hierck at the #MyPITA conference. Always a good reminder that relationship is the antidote to stress—which goes for students AND colleagues. Building in routines to connect is vital for a healthy community. #PSADay2024
