There’s so much energy goes into filming a DJ losing their shit, while obscuring how little the dance floor is going for it. It’s a whole new skill set that’s been developed for video makers involving moving the camera erratically and relying on the movement from the lights

I know more about how certain very famous DJs dress and shop than I do about what music they play, which sums up what we’re encouraged to value now. I can recognise how they dance too, but not what they play.

A lot of the energy being expended to "revolutionise the events industry" via a new app would be far better spent by those people just turning up and paying for gigs and parties.

A funny outcome of doing a lot of DJ / Producer mentoring with you people is that I get a vantage point to observe how much of my own best advice I’m not following myself. It’s inexplicably liberating to be at a stage where commercial success or fame aren’t what I’m looking for.
