UK gas prices have just hit an all-time record high 😱 Surpassing 500p a therm for the first time ever. A year ago, gas was trading at less than 40p a therm.

RePowerEU will diversify our gas supplies, speed up the renewable roll-out, improve energy efficiency and replace gas in heating and power. It can reduce our demand for Russian gas by 2/3 before the end of the year.

Now, we take it to the next level. By the end of this year, we can replace 100 bcm of gas imports from Russia. That is two-thirds of what we import from them. This will end our over-dependence and give us much needed room to maneuver.
