Halifax’s Seaport Farmers’ Market is changing, says @portofhalifax: - weekend covered market outside - current market space will be a “living lab” for the transportation industry - winter market will be at Pier 22 (the space where artisans sell to cruise passengers in the summer)

Happy Birthday to Kate Bush. When we were all listening to Meatloaf, The BeeGees and Barry Manilow in 1978, you dropped "Wuthering Heights" and changed music forever. I am not alone in my gratitude.

I had a wonderful time at Sasha Mullally and David Wright’s book launch tonight at Pier 21. Excellent presentation (especially the big data graphs!) and public engagement. Very impressive event and monograph! I’m looking forward to using my signed copy in the many years to come.

Prime Video announces a #MrDressup documentary. This makes me happy. Years ago I told Ernie Coombs I lost the autographed postcard he gave me when I was a kid. The next week a new copy of the same postcard I had as a kid arrived, autographed with a lovely note. #whataguy

A kid born in a refugee camp wasn’t supposed to make it! But here we are GOING TO THE WORLD CUP. Don’t let no one tell you that your dreams are unrealistic. KEEP DREAMING, KEEP ACHIEVING!

A new exhibition at the Canadian Museum of Immigration in Halifax would never have come to fruition had JJ Lee not stumbled upon a century-old immigration certificate while clearing out her parents' attic in the early days of the pandemic. cbc.ca/news/canada/no…

I saw Sinéad O'Connor in a tiny club in Toronto - maybe the Diamond, Maybe The Concert Hall...in 1988, supporting her first record "The Lion and the Cobra." Spellbinding. I am sad she's left us.
