FRI 19TH MAY, 2023: Proud to be part of Makerere Law School's pilac under the CLE program that implemented a successful legal aid day with Uganda Prisons at Luzira in extending legal aid to inmates and promoting social justice to those in most need of it.

Last week on Friday, I had the opportunity to implement an externship project at the LDC court along with a group of clinical legal education students under pilac . I am grateful to pilac and Makerere Law School for the opportunity to #learn.

We are disseminating our findings in a study where Prof Mbazira was a PI and Dr. Atim and myseld were co investigators.

Innovations go beyond sciences... support innovations in all fields.

.pilac has had some achievements including: revamping the clinical legal module, harnessing the knowledge & skills students have through practical projects, revamped mooting, special externship programmes to gain exposure ~ Christopher Mbazira Makerere Law School

While we execute our mandate, there is need to pay attention to critical elements that we take as unusual: some things are not taught in class but are pivotal & fundamental in the delivery of service. We need to know that Justice must be served & delivered on a balanced platform.

Feedback & perception are very key, the project has given us a bridge to know what the community perceives of us: you can’t get a honest perception if you have chance to to accept feedback. As police officers it’s difficult to take what the community perceives of us directly.
