Addressing participants at the supervisors' retooling seminar, Prof. Kikooma Julius said there were major revisions to graduate training that have been undertaken; transition in scoring eg. course work is marked 60% while Exam is 40% as a means of moving to competency-based training

While giving his opening remarks at the African Writers Conversation with Dr Susan Kiguli, Dr Edgar Nabutanyi welcomed all participants and expressed the desire to have this event on the department calendar annually to showcase the African writers and more so the Ugandan writers.
In a conversation with Dr Dr Anna Adima Prof. Kiguli takes us through her journey as a literary scholar and her intersection with poetry from rural Luwero to Gayaza High School and then Makerere University and beyond.
