#MakRun2024 What away to run for a good cause!! I couldn’t afford not to display my olympic skills at the MakRun 2024 edition. Running 🏃‍♀️ for persons with disability, was the theme!

Today, we joined the wider Makerere University in the #MakRun2024 to Run for the Students with disabilities. An initiative that intends to support the Students with disabilities unit under #MakRun2024 Diff. races were flagged off by the deputy speaker of parliament Thomas Tayebwa

The Makerere University Endowment Fund extends its heartfelt appreciation to everyone who made the #MakRun2024 a resounding success. The fund will soon share a full report on the funds raised, and how these will be utilized to the benefit of our students with special needs.

Today, librarians Makerere University participated in the training on the use of Plagiarism Detector and UpToDate software facilitated by Dr. Alison Kinengyere, College Librarian Makerere University College of Health Sciences. It was aimed at building the capacity of librarians to support students across the university

Faculty from DEM, MAK have joined staff from partner institutions under the AgrGROW Project in a 5-day Collaborative Learning Ecosystem (CLE) Creation Workshop at Bugema Univ. The workshop is meant to equip faculty with competences in creating a CLE with relevant actors .

Today the Research and Innovations Fund (RIF) Secretariate has had an extensive session to understand Intellectual property. Makerere University IP team spoke to different ways to protect the outputs of the Institution. Emphasis was on the exclusivity of IP ownership for Makerere University

I’m attending the Annual Media Convention 2024 organized by MakerereJournalism Makerere University. This is a very timely talk where a dialogue on artificial intelligence and its interactions with social networks, journalism, media, and communication is happening.

EARLIER: Dignitaries including the Hon. Nyombi Thembo, Hon. Nyombi Thembo make their way to the Yusuf Lule CTF Auditorium for the #MAKAMC2024. The Annual Media Convention is discussing how Artificial Intelligence and social networks can be harnessed to combat misinformation.
