Looking forward to the day a government issued registration card determines how much (+/-) the convenience store adjusts the price of my pack of Skittles.

Yeah, our ancestors just hung out and shot the shit all day. Maybe someone from the cave next door brought over a 6-pack. Modern life is too onerous!

One thing Gaza has proven to me about the Law of War is how it is premised on military leaders who don't want their people slaughtered and who will just give up if they can't win. E.g., imagine what would have happened if the "Japan will never surrender" claims were true.

When I left a perfectly good job in my late 20’s to work for myself, it felt incredibly risky. Now in my early 50’s it’s a great source of comfort.

What just happened? Last night, news emerged of a "trade deal" that has never happened before. Nvidia and AMD agreed with Trump to provide the US with 15% of REVENUE from chip sales in China to remove export controls. Corporations are panicking. Here's why. (a thread)

Agree with the sentiment. But, alas, if there was any money in it these companies wouldn’t have stopped making analog products in the first place.
