I looked at the website and one thing stuck out to me after reading it. Whoever made it was smart enough to not pretend it had any utility. They knew to let the meme speak for itself. So I tweeted that I believed it may 1000x for no reason. And then I went TURBO pumping it.

The reason I knew who z🐸 was because he was a CryptoPhunks 🪞 collector and he was a user and member in my Not Larva Labs discord. He owns a Zombie Phunk and also made like 1M flipping an ether rock so I knew he had good taste and some keen sense of the market etc.

I was the driving force behind the success of Pepe, and I am well aware that if I was doing anything by myself nothing would have happened. It rapidly became an inevitable record breaker. But everyone in crypto wanted it to fail. So many huge accounts bear posted it.

People don’t remember cuz it was so long ago. But literally all the biggest accounts in CT were fudding $pepe HARD early on. Example: 🐧 Pentoshi, w/ around 500k followers at the time. He deleted this tweet, which was right after a small dip. May 4th, 2023:

Years later, every single big account in the world has talked about $pepe, and all of them love to pretend they were early adopters They reality is that virtually 100% of big influencers and accounts hated it at first. Because they didn’t get in early enough for their ego.

One person who doesn’t get enough credit for the success of $pepe is DJ Jukebox 🎶. They dropped some insanely dank Pepe tracks right away. That absolutely fueled the success and wave of content that was being created. Legendary. May 7th, 2023:

I chose to include some direct references to myself in the videos I made to promote the token. I was conflicted about doing so at the time. But people like to pretend I didn’t drive that entire movement. So I now I am glad I did. Clowns. 😂

I knew for a fact that we could create our own version of the token and literally flip its marketcap. Because I knew that I started the movement and it was the community that had the power. I was right. And we literally launched $PORK and flipped the marketcap immediately. 👑

FACT: I got $pepe listed on Binance. FACT: I could not get $PORK or $PNDC listed on a single big tier 1 CEX yet. And I did everything possible. Both are FACTS. I do not know the reason why no CEX would list them, but they were both top 200 tokens. TBH, prob cuz they hate me.

I genuinely didn’t have much attachment to it on a personal level. I just wanted it to CRUSH. It was hilarious, fun, rebellious, memetic, financially rewarding, DISRUPTIVE. So many things. The part that irks me now is how many people discredit my contribution completely.

I am such a massive fan of 𝓜𝓪𝓽𝓽 𝓕𝓾𝓻𝓲𝓮. ❤️🐸🙏 I KNOW it’s bad form to give a gift with expectation of ANYTHING in return at all. It would be kind for Matt to acknowledge the ~$2M gift from our Pond community. Just so people know it was very real. We truly love you Matt.❤️
