If there’s one thing sport has taught me this year (and in fairness, we’ve known this for a long time but I thought we had progressed) is that if you’re good at sportsing you’ll be forgiven almost anything, including all kinds of violence.

I always watched and enjoyed the Rose of Tralee. This year I’m at the festival and now I really ‘get’ it. The 32 women are celebrated in a bubble of joy, friendship, fun. It has to be overwhelming. It’s no wonder the winner usually bursts into tears. It’s amazing 🤩

I’m probably showing my age here but I’m watching Selling Sunset and I have to keep pulling the volume up and down because the music is SO LOUD! Then you can’t hear them speak to each other and have to turn it up. Why can’t the music be at the same level as the dialogue?!
