ChatGPT cutoff date reminds me of early search engines, which were typically months behind, but evolved to near real-time. Though the LLM tech is very different, the user need is just as critical and I think it will push LLM providers to achieve same freshness over time.

Judging from comments, very few companies who went remote in pandemic stayed remote-first. In other words, big remote companies today had already embraced it before 2020. The short list of companies who actually switched to remote and remain so includes Shopify and Pinterest. I

Why I'm happy to hear X is launching audio/video calls. Better later than never.

New behaviour just landed for me with ChatGPT. It tries to sense if I’m up for a convo and ends by asking me a question. This happens without instruction. Seems they’ve personalised the hidden instructions a bit since I have a lot of long conversations when learning something.

Big missed opportunity by AWS. Placed too many roadblocks to even get started with Cloud9, the opposite of a seamless DX.
