Officials confirm the suspected shooter is in custody and is 14 years old. Two teachers and two students were killed.

The school resource officer engaged the shooter. “He gave up, got on the ground and the deputy took him into custody,” Sheriff Jud Smith tells reporters. The shooter has since been interviewed by investigators.

At this time, no evacuations are in place. Boise Fire resources include 1 BC, 5 engines, and 2 Brush rigs. Eagle Fire and BLM are on scene with resources as well. There are no reported injuries. Crews are working to protect structures and contain the fire.

The new Plexi Fire burning near Micron off Highway 21 is pouring smoke into Boise right now. This was our view of the connector from the KTVB studio as of 7:15 Thursday morning. Goes without saying that no one should be breathing in this air if at all possible.
