After a kinda harrowing semester, I’ve finally somehow been able to write a few new poems. And I even finally have enough time to send them out 🥹 lmk if you’re an editor who’d like to see them!

I’ve been asked to share some poems that engage (perhaps v broadly / generally) with the topic of “how media can influence perception” for an upcoming event… Do y’all have any favorites?

depends on what process works for you, ultimately, but generally it's better, i think, to have desires (dreams, questions, fiery directions) for your poems than designs (set plans, firm goals)

A favorite moment from my AWP panel on the role of the Poet Laureate was when Jennifer Militello said: “Poetry has saved my life so many times. Now it’s time for me to help save poetry’s life.”
