Palestine Action dissolved itself, & given their tactics weren’t terrorist in the eyes of the law, exPA members who continue them were assured membership won’t be held against them. Proscription now applies exclusively to Speech Terrorists. The direct action will continue. Sorry!

As expected (x.com/madoccairns/st…) the direct action campaign began by Palestine Action is continuing after their dissolution. Proscription makes, from what I know, no real difference in how this will be policed. This is because PA never committed any actual terrorist offences

Soon you'll be arrested for thinking about Palestine…‼️ The officer claims that the phrase "Israel is committing genocide in Gaza" is in line with the beliefs of Palestine Action, and could therefore be considered a declaration of support for the proscribed group!!! Let them

For yet another indication of how badly out of touch MPs are with the public mood, the equivalent figures for the parliamentary vote on proscription are: ✅60% Support ❌4% Oppose

The cop doesn't have a leg to stand on, & it's an open question whether they know & don't care or whether they're genuinely dumb. But it's the desired result of proscription: a general chilling effect on pro-Palestinian speech and protest, & uncertainty about what you can say.

As protestors in Derry were arrested this Saturday for holding signs saying “I oppose genocide: I support Palestine action,” we now have official confirmation that supporting Palestine Action is 100% more likely to get you arrested than supporting the IRA (or UDA, UVF, and so on)

By contrast, the Israeli air force would not have breached their operational guidelines on accuracy were they to drop a bomb on this child’s home that killed him, his father and 18 other civilians. That’s what we in the strategy business call “antifragility”.

🚨Breaking: Kent Police have doubled down after pro-Palestine protesters were questioned for holding flags and placards. A spokesperson told Declassified: "It is a criminal offence to carry or display items that may arouse reasonable suspicion" of support for Palestine Action.

Suspended Labour MP Rachael Maskell says she is "motivated" by her Christian faith. Adds: "I don't see myself as a rebel, I am somebody who speaks truth to power."

Sometimes it’s hard to comprehend that the Blairites I met in student politics, who said reading books was classist, run the British state. Other times, it’s actually quite easy.
