The more I read about Python the more I like it! Now I’m starting to understand why it’s so popular. Honestly I never bothered to learn much beyond the basics, but—I like how everything /just works/.

Building a persistent drawer that stays open across hard navigations in Next.js (appRouter) with route intercepts and parallel routes? /dashboard/post/new (bg: dashboard) /posts/new (bg: posts list) you’re in for a challenge!

I’m tempted to use __PRIVATE_NEXTJS_INTERNALS_TREE, but I probably shouldn’t. 😅 Lee Robinson on hard navigation I'd prefer to push("/") instead of using back(). This way I can keep a drawer or modal open on both soft and hard navigations. Any suggestions on handling this?

Claude Sonnet 3.7 might look good at first, but it it's pretty bad at following instructions and makes things too complicated too fast. It needs a lot of supervision. If you just let it run wild, you’re going to have a really bad time.

Left: Og Dribbble Right: GPT-4o "Replicate exact squiggly-line style, 6 icons: frontend dev, creative dev, backend dev, global talent, no text, presented clearly without cuts." Just experimenting—won’t actually use these. Amazed by the quality. Could easily export as SVGs.

This prompt just roasted my stack 😂 “Your ‘comfort stack’ is a crutch. TypeScript + Next.js + Tailwind is familiar, but shipping speed beats stack elegance. A rough Rails scaffold shipped tomorrow wins over a pristine monorepo shipped next quarter.”
