Has anyone experienced restless legs so bad that it spreads to your whole body and you feel like you are trapped in a flesh prison and you can’t get comfortable no matter what day or night? Do I have serotonin syndrome? Wtf is this?

@eggyonline YUP I had fatty liver by the time I was like 17/18 and no one ever cared to follow up on it 😵‍💫 only once I’ve had a psychiatrist order bloodwork for me. and no one ever warned me about effects like that either! they just don’t care as long as they’re getting paid

i took a high dose of seroquel and developed tardive dyskinesia for a while. Vraylar had the worst side effects i’ve ever experienced in my life i felt like i was being electrocuted and couldn’t sleep for days. Effexor withdrawal put me in the hospital. twice!!

Before starting psychiatric treatment (especially medications), I recommend* folks get tested for: - Low vitamin B-12 and D - Autoimmune disease - Nutritional deficiencies - Post-viral infections - Inflammation *If accessible, affordable, or possible. Which it is often not.

Some people spend years or decades being treated for a psychiatric illness, only to find they had a *very treatable health problem* that stemmed from somewhere else and was impacting the brain and bodymind as a whole. Do yourself a favor and rule out as much as you can first.

How you can get tested: a primary care doc, FNP, or naturopath can order blood work including vitamins and nutrients + more directed blood work/can refer to: - Rheumatology - Neurology - Endocrinology - Genetics - Immunology Among other specialties.
