A destructive obsession with the art of symmetery & circular form was the theme in last night's film screening Stephen Joseph Theatre hosted by George Cromack. 'Art is the food of madness' was the subtext exemplified in the excesses of the architect, Boulee 1728-99... & thoroughly enjoyable it was.

Remembering the BBC Radiophonic Workshop electronic music pioneer, Delia Derbyshire on her Birthday. Thanks to her for all her brilliant work, and for her electronic arrangement of the theme music to Doctor Who.

THE WATCH HOUSE (BBC1, 1988): A lovely, gentle little supernatural drama for children, adapted from Robert Westall's novel. And it features a truly chilling concept - a ghost haunted for all eternity by another ghost!

Still a while before the #Scarborough next Moviedrome Stephen Joseph Theatre (July 4th) - but always worth giving Hal Ashby's 1971 undefinable/in a league of its own cult film a mention - sjt.uk.com/events/moviedr…
