Our lumber faces higher duties than Russian lumber. Think about that. Calling our softwood a “national security risk” is absurd, hurting communities on both sides of the border. We’ll keep fighting these unfair tariffs and standing up for workers. Link: news.gov.bc.ca/32851

Let’s be clear. These tariffs on our lumber have NOTHING to do with national security.  They’re an economic assault targeting BC families. There are other countries that want BC lumber, and together we will diversify and build a strong future for BC’s forestry workers.

This took too long, but the Conservative Caucus of BC did the right thing. Credit to Conservative MLAs who stand up to bigotry inside their party. But Lindsay Shepherd’s hiring is a sign of the far-right influence and hate that is allowed to proliferate at every level of the party. 🧵

Last night at approximately 10 PM several vehicles and individuals approached my home and rocks were thrown at my home and vehicle. Police were called and investigated. While the motive or perpetrators remains unknown to me, this is very distressing in light of recent events.

No matter our differences, we can all agree that political violence, especially the targeting of the home of an elected official, has no place in our province.

BC is leading 🇨🇦 with major opportunities to deliver prosperity to all of Canada. We have billions worth of private sector & First Nations led projects, that are ready to go and will create thousands of jobs. Alberta’s fictional bitumen pipeline achieves none of these things.

Last night, every single BC Conservative MLA fled the house to avoid taking a stance on ARPA's homophobic, anti-trans and anti-choice views. If you can't even show up for the rights of British Columbians, why would they trust you to show up on anything else?

Americans need to hear how tariffs raise prices. We’re making ads to defend British Columbia and Canada’s forestry workers. Our wood faces higher US tariffs than Russia. Absurd. Truth will win! cbc.ca/player/play/vi…
