The “last” day as a Masters student... I remember the first day as a student I visited at Farine lab and took a walk with my supervisor(s) up to the hill. It was also sunny day :) The photo is from 2 years ago.

It was a good Masters, getting know lots of scientists, working with awesome lab members including the supervisor, developing own ideas and programming skills, and publishing paper(s). The last one is still on the process.

So happy because I saw >= 3 adults were feeding a juvenile of sparrow weaver showing begging behaviour! Even though they are quite noisy, I started liking them again.

My first first-authored paper is online now! We (Adriana Maldonado-Chaparro @DamienFarine ) explored five hypotheses to investigate drivers of alloparental care in zebra finches! (+ we have some insights for individual/kin recognition.)

Without words happy that my first phd chapter is out today in Current Biology , work on cultural evolution in great tits with GustavoAlarcón-Nieto and Lucy Aplin

Ah! It's really real! The first paper from my PhD, is officially published online in #EcologyLetters! We show that #VulturineGuineafowl exhibit distinct movement behaviors when dispersing, allowing them to cover huge distances efficiently. Check it out: onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/epdf/10.11…

I worked to get one sets of the results for 6 months or so, and today I finally got that. Feel soooo good and happy. This whole process is so addictive…

And I think I deserve a chocolate ice cream 🤩
