Spent the afternoon making an 868 MHz antenna for #meshtastic. I used thin brass tube to make a sleeve dipole and then fitted it all into a tight plastic tube! Works a treat!

One day I will remember to launch a virtual terminal _before_ I restart networking services on a remote computer... ... Unfortunately for me, today wasn't the day.

#hamradio friends, any ideas? My #Kenwood TH-D74 gets stuck in a boot loop every time I connect the battery. If I power it from the charger it is fine?! 😞 If I then unplug the charger it'll happily run, TX 5W, etc., from battery fine. It just won't start. Very strange. #hamr

In other news, playing around with multicolour 3D prints and using them to make bits and pieces I need (like a dipole centre for out portable). Lets take bets on how long before the wire snaps at the knots. 🙈 #hamr #hamradio

3D printing a case for the Icom IC-705 this evening, and still tinkering with mixed colours. The printer hasn't been running too great this past week. Perhaps the 5 year old nozzle needs a replace 😂

Any Zappi experts can advise me on why my myenergi Zappi V2 fails to charge my car 50% of the time with a random trip error. Been working fine for 2 years. Now failing. Always some kind of RCD trip. Car charges OK elsewhere. I'm thinking plug (or maybe cable) have got damp?

An evening #SOTA activation of G/SP-002 Black Hill after a few days in the Manchester office. Note to self, skip HF activations if the K-index is above 4, it was hard work!! #hamr #hamradio

After 4 years of operation, I finally got around to V2.0 of the GB0SNB VHF SDR front end. A few tweaks left, and then I'll start on the digital part. 💪 #hamradio #hamr #sdr #vhfsdr

A big thank you to the staff Raspberry Pi store in Cambridge who helped my 10 year old nephew to choose a Python programming book and camera module this morning. He’s now got his eyes on my Badger 2040W badge, which will be going off for him to try!
