In celebration of 30 Years of Astronomy Picture of the Day, Dario Giannobile produced this increadible image of Van Gogh's Starry Night composed of 1,836 previous APOD image tiles. Zoom in, it's incredible! Mind actually blown.

Saturn imaged last night under good seeing conditions. Still very low in the horizon and the rings are notably dark at this phase. Looking forward to imaging it as it approaches opposition in September

This extraordinary image is not a nebula in the Milky Way. This is the star forming region NGC 5461 located 20 million light years away in the M101 Pinwheel Galaxy. The image was taken at IR wavelength with JWST showing the closest Supernova for a decade - SN 2023ixf - 300 days
