Day out to Jodrell Bank today. The size of this telescope is impressive and seeing it move is amazing. Surprisingly lower frequency they are listening on than I thought, I imagined it to be high ghz for some reason.

Does the F/H on FT8 mean fox/hound? As in anyone calls they pick you off? Seeing if I can hear SouthOrkney_2020 #VP8PJ

Some callsigns stick in your head. 4O3T is one. I tried and tried to work the op. He sang the call '4O3T Montenegro QRZ' just looked on QRZ.COM to see if it was still active. It was a special event station from 2006 that ran for 3 weeks! I can still hear the call!

I'm a Yaesu addict. I'll admit I do like a Yaesu radio. I also have a VX7, VR120 scanner and have owned a FT450, FT897D, VR500, VX6, VX2, FT-252. Icom have snuck in with a ID-51+2 and ID-4100 in the car. Enjoying the FT3D, playing with its features and programming it up today.

I thought the band's would be in bad shape. Nearly didn't bother to tune around tonight, as I did. Saudi Arabia 1st call, 20W on 40M. Gotta love that. #ft8 #hamradio #wsjt
