Truth and godliness always walk hand-in-hand. The minute we separate one from the other, we stray from soul integrity and give a foothold to the instability that inevitably leads to coming unglued.

“Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.” Colossians 3:12 I can’t help but notice that compassion is listed first. It’s from a heart of compassion that kindness, humility,

God’s love does not depend on us or our feelings. He is constant and consistent. We can always count on His goodness.

When we direct our ultimate trust toward the Lord, He provides stability for our hearts.

Sometimes to get your life back, you have to face the death of what you thought your life would look like. God has a good plan in mind. But it’s probably not going to look anything like the one of our own design.

Satan wants us to think we don’t have time to read God’s Word or that we’re not smart enough to understand God’s Word. But we can shut him down by proclaiming, “God, Your Word is my greatest treasure. Your ways are my greatest joy. And You, God, are my greatest love.”

Let's not just declare that we have faith. Let's live out loud that we believe God is good, faithful and trustworthy. Let's stop running to fix things our way so that we can stop and fix our eyes on God. He sees. He knows. He cares. We can rest assured.

Togetherness is such a beautiful thing. I pray today God gives you an opportunity to pursue togetherness with safe people … because chances are you’ll be a blessing to them in their lonely feelings as well.

Borrow this prayer for today: Lord, we confess that all too often we are guilty of making our own plans and then asking You to bless them. We forget that we need to seek You first because Your plans are perfect and You care deeply for us. Remind us it is You alone we need. In

I want to spend less time asking God for answers and more time listening to what He has to say. No suggestions. No solutions. Simply my heart listening for His voice. And right now is the perfect time to start.

Let’s remind our hearts of this truth this week: Prayer does make a difference. We don’t need to know how. We don’t need to know when. We just need to kneel confidently and know even our most simple prayers extend far wide and far high and far deep. Keep praying, friend.

Lord, I trust You. You know me like no other. You love me like no other. And that combination assures me that You know what I need and when I need it.

When hard times come our way that we desperately wish God would have stopped, let’s remember that He is a God who promises He can use hurt for good. It’s okay to tell Him you don’t like any of this pain. But don’t let the pain cause you to pull away from Him. We can trust

More rest. Less stress. This can't be about waiting for my circumstances to settle and then hoping this is on the other side. It really is a choice I have to make. Let’s ask Jesus to show us how we can truly rest in Him this week.

As we delight in and live out the Truth of God’s Word, it becomes a lifeline to our souls.

“God is not man, that He should lie.” (Numbers 23:19) If He says we are loved and chosen, then that’s the truth. And we can trust that truth.

Scripture tells us repeatedly that God is with us, in us, and for us. This truth must be the filter through which we process any situation we face.

A few honest moments spent with God have the power to change everything. I'm so thankful God isn’t looking for us to impress Him. He's simply inviting us to spend open and honest time with Him.
