We wish all the 68 participants from Kakuma Refugee camp success in the Olympic Trials happening in Iten, Eldoret LWF alongside UNHCR KENYA support sport for protection and run sports development initiatives, we believe nurtured talent can change lives.

On Tuesday this week, trials to select IOC refugee athlete scholarship holders for Dakar 2026 and Los Angeles 2028 took place in Iten, Eldoret, Kenya. Over 90 refugee athletes competed, giving their all as they aimed for Olympic qualification. Join us to #CheerForRefugees🏅

Access to school materials has long been a challenge for displaced learners in Somalia, impacting their education. With support from pooled funding through ACT Alliance, The Lutheran World Federation has helped overcome this challenge by providing essential supplies to schools in Jubbaland.
