I feel like I’m in a “post-pandemic” mood now. Not that the crazy thing is over, but like it has become such a normality in our lives that I feel guilty using it as an excuse for being unproductive. #AcademicTwitter

We welcomed four new coordinators (Gifty, Sierra, Laney, and Ashley) during our lab party today. We also said goodbye to our coordinator Kelsey who is leaving at the end of the month. We'll miss you, Kelsey! Learn more about our team at ugacanlab.com/people!

I have to say the Office of Global Engagement (the international student office) at UGA is so incompetent. They seem to know nothing and make every possible step of starting as an international student here unnecessarily confusing and difficult. #MondayMotivation

Last spring I was hired as a research coordinator for a study called Effort as a Secondary Reinforcer Clinical Affective Neuroscience Lab. Just now I finished running the last participant for that study. I’m currently paralyzed in the chair, but in a very good way.

My last task for the semester got canceled so now it’s official that I’m done with first year of my PhD program. It’s been very bumpy to say the least but I’m extremely grateful for everyone I’ve met here. So cheers to me and all my cohort mates for surviving this crazy year 🥂

if another country had this many mass shootings you would be too afraid to travel there and protest their citizens from immigrating here

I’ve been having very complicated feelings the past 24 hours as I truly enjoyed the textbook that Barlow edited in my behavioral intervention class last semester.

Me: I have like $400 savings. My non-academic friend: In the world? Me: In the universe. My non-academic friend: That’s not good. Me: 🤷‍♂️ #HappyTuesday
