I am elated to share that I will be joining the Paris Brain Institute Institut du Cerveau - Paris Brain Institute to establish my research team Neuronal Circuits & Brain Dynamics team, as a tenured researcher at Inserm. We are already hiring at all levels. For more info, check the openings on our website: neuronaldynamics.eu

Excited to announce our new upcoming Cajal training course in Bordeaux! Together with the amazing liefefenno, Anna Beyeler 🇺🇦 and a group of wonderful speakers and instructors. cajal-training.org/on-site/optoge… April 2-20, 2024. Applications open soon!

📢Job alert! I am starting my own research subgroup thanks to Swiss National Science Foundation #Ambizione at the Department of Basic Neurosciences of the University of Geneva Geneva University Neuro🧠Center. PhD position available, co-supervised by myself and Prof. Anthony Holtmaat. See the add below and share. Thanks!

Please RT - we have open postdoc/PhD positions! We are interested in circuit mechanisms of psychiatric symptoms in neurodegeneration. Projects include mouse behaviour, calcium imaging and spatial transcriptomics. You will be part of a CZI Science NDCN team @DZNE_en Bonn. More👇

I am super happy to share that my PhD work will be supported by a Boehringer Ingelheim Fonds (BIF) fellowship. Thanks to all my mentors and looking forward to continue unravelling the secrets of the amygdala in emotional processing with such a great team FMI science Lüthi Lab @ FMI

Andrés de Vicente FMI science Lüthi Lab @ FMI Well deserved! Very happy to have you on the team.

Going to #FENS2024? Please drop by my poster PS01-26AM-300: "Are newly formed dendritic spines necessary for long-term memory storage?" Wed 26th June, poster session 1 9:30 - 13, to hear about my project in Tobias Bonhoeffer lab MPI for Biological Intelligence and Lüthi Lab @ FMI FMI science

New preprint with Lüthi Lab @ FMI . “No cancer" diagnosis would give you relief and joy. FOMO triggers unpleasant feelings. We perceive lack of negative/positive affects as the opposite one. We propose that a simple circuit in the amygdala may underlie this valance opponency. (1/7)

#JobAd #Neuroscience: The Lüthi Lab @ FMI lab is seeking an experienced research technician. The team combines cutting-edge techniques with advanced computational approaches to investigate the function of neuronal networks driving internal states. Apply at: fmi.ch/education-care…

I am happy to share my first pre-print: ‘Neural mechanisms of adaptive value coding in the amygdala’ from my PhD Lüthi Lab @ FMI: biorxiv.org/content/10.110… ! In this paper we explore the BLA’s role in assigning value to specific rewards and explore how they are updated. Thread below 👇
