New paper. There are tons of studies showing "projection-target specificity". Here, using RabiesVirus-based manipulations and recordings, we demonstrate another layer of target specificity is embedded in the brain – Di-synaptic specificity. (1/6) science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…

We identified a distinct BLA subpopulation that connects disynaptically to the PAG via the CeA and is important during the acquisition and retrieval of conditioned freezing responses. For more details, check out our latest publication: doi.org/10.1126/sciadv…

Hello! Are you highly motivated to investigate hippocampal spatial codes using "miniscopes" in mice (how cliché)? Then, join us as a Postdoc 🥼 ! We are a small lab @LIN_Magdeburg with a ton of experience in very hard experiments that rarely work... 👇

New preprint with Lüthi Lab @ FMI . “No cancer" diagnosis would give you relief and joy. FOMO triggers unpleasant feelings. We perceive lack of negative/positive affects as the opposite one. We propose that a simple circuit in the amygdala may underlie this valance opponency. (1/7)
