This dropped hearing aid prices by 90%+. Countless people who couldn’t afford hearing aids can hear now. Biden has done a ton of stuff like this. Don’t listen to the doomposters who tell you it doesn’t matter who’s in office. It does.

The EB-2 is the green card category to become a permanent resident of the USA after an Masters / PhD degree. For the first time ever, it is backlogged for >1yr by ~1.5yrs for ALL countries of origin. High skilled immigration in the US is under severe stress.

One of the biggest moments in the Harris-Trump debate happened before they were asked a single question: When the candidates shook hands. Weijia Jiang explains why Harris campaign staffers believe this was one of the strongest moments of the vice president's entire night.

A bill to make it easier and more efficient to remedy already-anticompetitive conduct doesn’t imply that such conduct is actually legal under existing law.

Barnburner of a speech by ⁦Antitrust Division⁩ chief Kanter calling out the academic-lobbying-“expert witness” complex that has distorted antitrust jurisprudence in favor of defendants ever since the Antitrust Project at UChicago Law School in the 1950s. justice.gov/opa/speech/ass…

AAG Jonathan Kanter sent shockwaves thru the antitrust community yesterday by calling out corporate-funded advocacy dressed up as scholarship. I've seen a thing or two, but a recent experience w/ this left me shook. Check it out: 🧵 (1/x)

And there it is. The director of Google’s publisher strategy globally through testimony and emails discloses Google’s tying dominant parts of its adtech extracted revenues from publishers. Just one percent would be billions including from struggling news orgs. True evil.

I remember Kent Walker asking the team how much Googles makes per yr from Google Shopping, and the answer (if i remember correctly) was around $500m, based on this he decided Goog should just appeal this for as long as possible. He got 7 years about of it = at least $3.5 billion.

I knew this was George Mason before I even clicked on the story. Why isn’t the Virginia Assembly reining this place in? It’s a public university!

The Draghi Report is a roadmap for the new Commission. What is he really saying on antitrust enforcement? A “corporatist rollback”? He says do better, *do different*. Stop siloing. Work with industrial policy and trade. ✅ My thoughts on VoxEU cepr.org/voxeu/columns/…
