Infielders enjoying some time tonight at Coach Jones’s house for dinner. This group has put in a ton of work since the fall and it’s paying off! Two intrasquads this week before we head to Crescent Baseball for our first scrimmage. Go Bears 🐾

Varsity Bears win 10-0 on opening day behind a solid pitching performance from Lane McGaha who tossed 5 shutout innings. Lane also added 2 RBI at the plate, Luke Babb had 2 hits, 2 RBI, scored 2 runs, and Landon Davis had a 2 RBI triple. Back at it on Monday night at TL Hanna

Bears win 14-4 over Westside. Boyd Maynard was the winning pitcher throwing 4 IP 2 ER and 4K’s. Leading hitters were Ri Barnette with a 2 RBI 2B and 3 R, Blaine 2 H, 2 RBI, 2 R, Lane McGaha 3-run HR and 4 RBI total, Madox Vipperman 2 R, Luke Babb 2 R

Bears win! Lane McGaha gets the win on the mound and had 2 hits! Luke Babb had 2 hits, RBI, 2SB and and RBI, Madox Vipperman 2 RBI, Justin Baker 2 RBI, colby bates scored 2 runs, Blaine scored 2 RBI. We travel to Palmetto on Thursday. First pitch at 6:30

Bears win a close one on the road, 1-0. Lane McGaha pitched 7 shutout innings giving up 2 hits and striking out 5. Lane also scored the only run of the game. Talan Laburda also added 2 hits. We are back at home Friday against Fountain Inn. First pitch at 6:30.

Bears hold on to a 7-6 win! Talan Laburda gets the win throwing 5 innings giving up 1 run. Blaine got the save in relief and also had 3 hits and scored 2 runs. Luke Babb added 3 hits, 1 RBI, 1 R scored. Bears are back at The Den on Monday!

Bears win game 1 of the Spring Break tournament 8-5. Blaine got the win on the mound and Justin Baker got the save. Luke Babb and colby bates each had a hit and scored 2 runs each. Bears play again tomorrow at 4:00. #howbad

Bears win on senior day! Ethan gets the win on the mound and Blaine earned the save. TyeKelly23 and Lane McGaha had 3 hits, Tye and Blaine each scored 3 runs with Luke Babb adding 2 hits and 2 runs. Bears return to region play Tuesday at Wren.

The Bears fall to a good Blue Ridge squad and our season comes to an end. Thank you to our administrators, fans, and our great parents for all your support this year. And thank you to our seniors for leading us to an 18-win season and the legacy the six of you have left behind.

Really proud of these 2 guys and the seasons they had, but I’m also disappointed that Luke Babb and Blaine didn’t get the recognition they deserved for the seasons they had too. All four guys had great years and were good leaders for us.
