One of my strongest takeaways from the Covid experience is that the field of 'bioethics' needs to be much more influenced by 'normal ethics.'

In virtually every other context we think voluntarily risking harm for the greater good is praiseworthy!

I use journal and author reputations to evaluate research and not doing so would seem weird: why would I leave information on the table?

I rarely look up JIF because I know the journals in the field and what kind of papers they publish, though
