It's obvsly a good thing how there's far more focus on the wellbeing of the nhs workforce. But when it comes to awareness campaigns the overwhelming emphasis still seems about individuals with individual distress rather than systemic understanding & resourcing of our basic needs.

Horrific. To be in a mental health hospital, as I’ve been many times as both a professional and a patient, means you’re very, very ill. A job coach visiting implies the patient hasn’t been ‘doing life right,’ adding to trauma and stress. This is dangerous: tinyurl.com/4jyx98uz

Patients on mental health wards are in acute distress. They need compassionate, meaningful care from a multidisciplinary team before handover to community teams to continue their progress. How are they getting this SO wrong?
