The final results are in and the winners of the therapists vs. nursing staff are… 🥁🥁 THE THERAPISTS 🥁🥁 We have had a fantastic week supporting our patients in their journey towards achieving their goals through the therapeutic use of the MRSU Olympic Games 🏆 #strokerehab

We're seeing an incredible demonstration of unity against the deplorable racist and Islamophobic violence in our communities. We stand in solidarity with those who took to the streets to protest against violence and hatred. We are the majority, they are the few. #StandUpToRacism

I haven’t done a thread in a while & I wanted to do one just to recap what Black & Asian people as well as immigrants have had to endure over the last week in the UK. Bookmark it 🧵

On #WorldMentalHealthDay, we've teamed up with BACP and BABCP to call for urgent mental health support for NHS & social care staff. Compassionate leadership, supervision, and accessible services are vital so our members can deliver the best care. 👉 bps.org.uk/news/professio…

It's obvsly a good thing how there's far more focus on the wellbeing of the nhs workforce. But when it comes to awareness campaigns the overwhelming emphasis still seems about individuals with individual distress rather than systemic understanding & resourcing of our basic needs.

Horrific. To be in a mental health hospital, as I’ve been many times as both a professional and a patient, means you’re very, very ill. A job coach visiting implies the patient hasn’t been ‘doing life right,’ adding to trauma and stress. This is dangerous: tinyurl.com/4jyx98uz

Patients on mental health wards are in acute distress. They need compassionate, meaningful care from a multidisciplinary team before handover to community teams to continue their progress. How are they getting this SO wrong?
