We know the state of palliative care is poor, with many people not receiving the care they need, and stark inequalities. We have decades of research telling us that. What is needed is high quality palliative care available to all.

Spot on. We are not voting on whether we support assisted dying or not. We are voting on the Bill before us and how it will operate in practice. It’s very possible to be in favour in principle, but vote against this Bill because it’s unsafe.
