I am thrilled to be working closely with the incredible Christine Counsell as Deputy Chair of the Curriculum Taskforce, leading on curriculum reform in Northern Ireland, following the publication of my review.

An impressive piece of work by Lucy Crehan. I particularly like how Lucy highlights the importance of issues like specificity in curriculum frameworks. It’s easy to think that less specificity is somehow preferable: allows for flexibility, teacher autonomy etc 1/4

It has been exciting to read the findings that Lucy Crehan has reached following her review of curriculum here in NI. Her recommendation of a focus on powerful knowledge is music to my ears and I look forward to playing whatever part I can to help bring this vision to reality.
