Check out a new and exciting finding from our lab and collaborators on a new substrate for a rhomboid protease! adam grieve Lucrezia Zarcone Matthew Freeman, now only @mjafreeman.bsky.social in the Dunn_School (now @DunnSchool.bsky.social) found that RHBDL2 cleaves the calcium channel protein Orai1 to control immunological signalling.
So happy to see our paper out Molecular Cell; please take a look! When we started this work, we couldn't have predicted that rhomboids could sense conformational changes in membrane proteins. Is this the tip of the iceberg? 👀 authors.elsevier.com/sd/article/S10…
