CBO's new estimate confirms: the Republican reconciliation law includes the largest #SNAP cut in history ($187B or ~20%). It will take food assistance away from more than 2M low-income ppl & cut food benefits for tens of millions more. Some states could even end SNAP entirely.

If we as a state have an unbreakable commitment to protect our most vulnerable citizens, you should protect their right to vote & VETO SB287 which will make it harder for folks with disabilities to participate in our democracy. #NHPolitics

Ayotte and other elected NH Republicans have taken an historic conflict of interest—and the most sordid actions our state is responsible for—and have somehow come up with a way to make the situation even worse. #NHPolitics nhpr.org/nh-news/2025-0…

Office of the Child Advocate says it has lost nearly half its staff, making it harder to “prevent harm from happening to children.” in an Ayotte/GOP NH, tax cuts for CEOs + Amazon take priority over protecting kids. wmur.com/article/new-ha… #NHPolitics

“I did not resign... I never would have left because it was an important job & we were doing a good job at it...the Legislature, with the support of [Ayotte] . . . took my job away.” morally + economically bankrupt leadership. nhpr.org/nh-news/2025-0… #NHPolitics

Read that again: "all income groups BUT the top decile are made worse off." In other words, unless you in the richest 10% of Americans, you will pay more, while the top pays less.

Late on Friday, three motions for rehearing were filed in the Eversource rate case, which if allowed to stand will result in NH ratepayers paying the highest the minimum customer charge in the nation. As in, you'll pay $43 a month, no matter what ON TOP of what you pay per kwh

For my $$ AARP has the best synopsis of why this rate case decision is the latest in what has been an incredibly frustrating four years at the NH PUC. The Commission seems to think they know what's best, and that it's their job to impose that opinion.

Ayotte's PUC chair wants you to pay $43/month just for the privilege of getting an electric bill. over + over again in NH: hard working families are getting squeezed tighter while CEOs + greedy monopolies get richer. #NHPolitics

Why has electricity gotten so expensive in America? Since 2019, utility spending on the power grid’s “last mile” distribution system — specifically poles and wires, underground equipment, and transformers — has surged. My latest for Heatmap News: heatmap.news/energy/why-is-…

Kelly Ayotte’s utility commission is set to raise the minimum charge for energy bills in the state to the highest in the nation. These charges disproportionately raise costs on low-income families and seniors. #NHPolitics

voters in MHT will have no idea where this money is coming from until after the election. with no limits to what Ruais can accept - voters deserve to know what corporate/special interests are cutting checks + how much. if they’re truly proud - *release the list.* #NHPolitics
