Yesterday, I gave a state of the economy address at Select Oklahoma, where I highlighted industries like energy and aerospace. Since 2018, ACES has helped secure 54 aerospace projects generating $1.9B in new investments. Thrilled to see our economy getting more diversified.

Starting today, the state sales tax on groceries has been eliminated. This is the largest tax cut in state history & will save families an average $648/yr. I appreciate our legislature for getting this measure passed so Oklahomans get the relief they need. koco.com/article/oklaho…

Today, I spoke on a sports & recreational tourism panel with other elected officials from across the country. Last fiscal year, sports tourism in OKC generated $92M, & with the city hosting the 2 Olympic events in 2028, the economic impact of this industry will continue to grow.

The American Airlines MRO facility at Tulsa Intl Airport is on track to increase its overhauls 60% to more than 16 engines a month this year, creating 200 new jobs. OK is the MRO Capital of the World, & as our aerospace industry grows, so does our economy. cnbc.com/2024/09/04/air…
