Interesting that senior managers think that “meeting with trade union colleagues” somehow equates to a joint project The same TU colleagues they were deducting 50 to 100% salaries from during the MAB. The same TU colleagues who are never mentioned during the ‘boom‘ times 🤔

Whenever universities experience these (ever more frequent) periods of ‘financial difficulties’ it’s staff who bear the brunt in terms of wages, workloads and intensification. These turn into permanent losses leading to impoverished workplaces. 😠 UCU

Support/professional service staff in universities have seen their real pay consistently cut-this year's national pay offer of only 1.4% is an example. When the national pay spine does not offer a real living wage, 13% for some of the highest paid is unjustifiable. #FundOurFuture
