Day 1 of research #fieldwork in #Italy 🇮🇹 A difficult day for Colin the dinosaur 🦖, as we searched for the K/Pg impact layer - rocks that show evidence of an impactor that wiped out the dinosaurs (except one)... Imperial Earth Science & Engineering Imperial College London #phdlife #geology

Interested to learn—via a cute animated clip—how SARS-CoV-2 variants of concern have evolved to better antagonize innate immunity? Watch this awesome video by Robyn Kaake and Lorena Zuliani Alvarez, PhD in Krogan Lab QBI about our recent publication linked in 🧵youtu.be/vdU2aBZZN-c

So pleased to share this paper from my time Cartwright Cosmochemistry Laboratory The University of Alabama ☄️🌍 Hugely grateful to such supportive and knowledgeable co-authors 🙌 ❔How might environments change cosmic dust - and do these tiny rocks tell the story of their surroundings? 👇

I have an international PhD studentship available for next year The University of Sheffield in Molecular and Cellular Biology with Alice Pyne is on 🦋 and The Boulton Lab. Found out that 2 of my PhD students Lydia Newton and Linran Wang went to the UCL Division of Infection & Immunity PhD colloquium yesterday, and won prizes for their poster/talk without any input from me whatsoever. Very well done. Really impressive. Independence training is effective!
